Common issues this tool can detect

Examples of configuration problems surfaced in a full domain health report.

DNS & domain issues

Missing A records, wrong nameservers, expiring domain, incorrect MX routing or missing CAA policy.

Email issues

Missing SPF, weak DMARC policy, DKIM not detected, MX misconfiguration or reverse DNS problems.

Website & SSL issues

Expired SSL certificate, HTTPS not redirecting, website not responding, missing HSTS or security headers.

Reputation issues

Mail IP listed, reverse DNS missing, blacklist provider errors or shared hosting reputation risks.

Missing optional records such as CAA or some security headers may be shown as recommendations, not critical errors.

How it works

Three steps from domain name to actionable report.

  1. Normalize your domain

We clean the input and prepare the domain for technical checks.

  2. Run connected checks

DNS, WHOIS, email, SSL, website, headers and reputation are reviewed.

  3. Review your action plan

Get a health score, issue counts and recommended fixes.

Understanding your score

The score is based on technical configuration checks — not a marketing grade.

90–100 Excellent

Strong setup with few or no issues.

75–89 Good

Mostly healthy — review warnings.

50–74 Needs attention

Issues may affect email, SSL or uptime.

0–49 Issues found

Address DNS, email, SSL or website problems first.

The score is a technical health indicator. It does not guarantee email deliverability, search rankings or full security. Failed DNS, SSL, website or email authentication checks should usually be fixed before optional hardening recommendations.

Some checks may be marked not connected if live providers are not configured. These should not reduce the score unless required by the scoring logic.

Everything you need to know about domain health checks.

Yes. The Domain Health Checker is free to use and does not require signup or payment.
The score summarizes passed, warning and failed technical checks across DNS, email authentication, SSL, website response and reputation signals. It reflects configuration health, not marketing performance or guaranteed deliverability.
Yes. The report reviews SPF and DMARC from DNS, MX routing for mail delivery, and DKIM when a selector is available or discoverable. Weak or missing policies are explained with practical next steps.
It can surface common technical causes such as missing SPF, weak DMARC, DKIM problems, MX misconfiguration, reverse DNS issues or blacklist listings. Inbox placement also depends on content, engagement and receiver policies, which this tool does not measure.
Yes. The SSL section reviews certificate validity, expiry date, domain match and HTTPS behavior so renewal or configuration problems are easier to spot.
Yes, when blacklist lookup providers are configured. Listings from connected DNSBL or reputation sources are shown in the report. If a provider is not connected, that check is marked not connected rather than failed.
Run a check after DNS, hosting, mail or SSL changes, when email or website problems appear, and periodically for domains you manage. Pre-launch and post-migration checks are especially useful for production domains.
No. Enter a domain name and run the check instantly without creating an account.
